SELF-CONFIDENCE

In the Fall 2020 semester, I was enrolled in Art 318: Introduction to Video, Performance, and Installation Art.  This course asked students to create a theme around which we could base our three projects.  The theme I chose was Self-Confidence.  All three of these pieces relate in some form or another.  The first project, entitled Confidence in Young Women 2020, documents five young women's experience with self-confidence or lack thereof.  The second, titled Two in One, documents me putting on only half a face of makeup, relating to the confidence I feel both with and without.  Finally, the last project, titled Words of Affirmation, reflects passersby as they associate their complexion with the positive affirmations written below each mirror.
